Self-priming monoblock pumps are regenerative type. A self-priming pump has been specifically designed to re-prime itself when under lift conditions. If a pump is located beneath the level of the liquid to be pumped, gravity and air pressure ensure that it is constantly filled with the liquid and there can be no ingress of air into the pump or suction line.

Self-priming monoblock pumps are regenerative type. A self-priming pump has been specifically designed to re-prime itself when under lift conditions. If a pump is located beneath the level of the liquid to be pumped, gravity and air pressure ensure that it is constantly filled with the liquid and there can be no ingress of air into the pump or suction line. Self-priming pumps are necessary if a pump has to be located above the level of the liquid to be pumped. A self-priming pump must be capable of evacuating air from the suction line, thereby drawing liquid into the pump. It is i able to overcome the problem of air binding by mixing air with water. Falcon regenerative monoset pumpsets are powered by a totally enclosed fan cooled AC induction two pole motor. Motor stator is made of low watt loss silicon steel laminations assembled under pressure and rigidly locked in the frame. The windings are of high-grade enameled copper wire offer excellent resistance and are varnish impregnated. Construction of motor frame and usage of quality materials result in high performance and low temperature rise thereby increasing the life cycle of the motor..
